Specialty Cocktails

The Daily Ration is our Signature Cocktail honoring the early days of Empire. All hands aboard vessels of the British Royal Navy would receive their Grog (rum mixed with water, fruit juice, sugar and spice) at midday. The practice was introduced in 1740 by Vice Admiral Sir Edward Vernon and was formally ended by the House of Commons in 1970.

The La Sueño is our variation of the classic Piña Colada (from Puerto Rico) and is inspired by a version from the Los Sueños Resort in Costa Rica. We create this “dream” by combining our own handmade Coconut Cream, Mango Nectar, 10 Cane Rum and ice. If you prefer a traditional Piña Colada or a “Chi-Chi” (with Vodka), just let us know, as we are here to please!

Elaine’s Margarita uses our close friend’s proportions, but we have upgraded this sneaky concoction to “Top Shelf” status. Patron Silver Tequila, Grand Marnier, and Key Lime juice are served “up” or “on the rocks”; with or without salt…“As you like it!” Take care or we will tell Elaine to add you to her “wall of shame.”

The El Floridita is the original version of the Daiquiri, invented in Santiago, Cuba, and made famous by the El Floridita Bar in Havana (one of Earnest Hemingway’s favorite hangouts in the late 1930’s.)We combine 10 Cane Rum,KeyLime juice, and simple syrup, served “up” or over crushed ice, to produce a blend that is simply “delightful, delicious, and de-lovely.”

The La Bodeguida is the original Mojito. It was made famousin one of Hemingway’s other Havanahaunts, La Bodeguida del Medio; “Papa” was obviously not short on favorite bars. This original, refreshingly combines 10 Cane Rum, Key Lime juice, fresh mint, simple syrup, and soda over crushed ice.

The KAM-ie Gin Punch is named to honor our neighbors at the Key Allegro Marina (KAM) and is our Signature Fruit Punch. Bombay Gin, our very own blend of Tropical Fruit juices and Orgeat Syrup are combined and served “on the rocks” to form the perfect Sundowner (or “any-timer”, as the case may be.)

The State-Your-Name Collins is the perfect Summer-time quencher (Autumn, Winter and Spring as well!) Be it Tom, John, Ron, Juan, or Ivan, you pick the Liquor and we willpour for you a “Proper” Collins. We combine Lemon Juice, simple syrup and soda to create this crisp and refreshing blend, served over crushed ice.

The Vino Tinto is our classic Sangria with its original inspirationsin Spain. Served in a pitcher (about 6 servings) with Citrus, Brandy, soda and ice, it will brighten your day and refresh your soul. Relax and enjoy as you sip and delight in the tranquility here in our little corner of the world.
